Our client company, a successful and financially strong US-based manufacturer of specialty civil infrastructure products, is looking to hire a  Market Development Manager to join the team. The  Market Development Manager will be responsible for working with both the internal and external sales teams to support business growth by following up on possible sales leads provided by the internal team and qualifying them for the external team. This position will present possible unique solutions to the prospective clients' projects based off the nature of each individual project. After qualifying these warm leads, this position will then hand that info off to the external sales team so they can go present and close the deal.

Main responsibilities include:

• Building relationships with key customers and clients including both private and public entities;
• Prospecting customers by cold calling, emailing, and visiting qualified leads;
• Maintaining data and entering info into Salesforce for the sales teams to access;
• Setting up meetings between warm leads and the outside sales team;
• Working within the assigned territory to find new business opportunities;

To be considered for an interview, candidates MUST HAVE:

• A 2 or 4 year degree or equivalent working experience;
• 2+ years of experience in market development and lead generation;
• Ability to travel throughout the region, roughly 50% of the time;
• Ability to handle a longer sales cycle;
• Experience in finding new leads and opportunities leading to business growth;
